Introduction

Welcome! This is the first blog post that kicks off Clarity Content Quality Assurance LLC, which has been in its birthing stages for the past month. I hope it will be one of many posts that highlight my love of attention to detail, whether it comes through the shape of media or nature’s scenery.

One personal and more academic scene comes to mind when I think of Clarity Content QA’s origins, and that is poring over text in a university library on a sunny afternoon, finding a typo while reading a primary source. In my own opinion, discovering this “mistake” simply added character to the text that was an otherwise helpful source. I’ll never remember the title of the work, of course. I do remember the feeling—a strange excitement, like I had uncovered the humanness of people who were long gone—intellectual ancestors. That these ancestors made every attempt at perfection yet still missed the mark according to their own (and likely very strict) rules.

I am always learning and revisiting whatever we consider to be The Rules so I can give my best work to anyone I meet in the field. I also want anyone I meet to know that we all come from diverse backgrounds containing many different skill sets, and that you are certainly not expected to catch every single mistake within the pieces you might submit.

I do hope our work together will provide learning, a sense of accomplishment, and relief. I’m so looking forward to working with you. Thank you for coming with me on this adventure!
