Frequently Asked Questions

  • Good question! “QA” usually means a quality check is done on products or services to make sure they are up to certain standards. In our case, a review will be made on your project, providing a check for errors within your written work. Clarity Content QA provides another set of human eyes to view your work before it is used elsewhere. The goal is to provide a polished, clean feel that meets your standards.

  • While proofreading and copy editing are both part of the editing process, proofreading is usually a final check for errors and is not considered major revision. “Copy editing” may mean the content of your work will change, conveying a different meaning to your viewers. To avoid confusion, we will not be making large copy edits on your work that could drastically change the overall meaning of your piece.

  • No, Clarity Content QA will not be editing the format or placement of written words or images. Example: we will not insert images or art into your piece.

  • Projects categorized as “Other” may be accepted!

  • We prefer MS Word files (.docx) in order to complete reviews using the Track Changes feature; however, other file formats may be considered. Any edits made in your file will be marked in red. If this is not possible due to your file format, other options may be considered and we will correspond with you to provide you a proper review.

  • We’re sorry to hear that! Here are some reasons why your piece may have been declined for proofreading:

    • Major revision of content or storyline requested.

    • Word art, image insertion, or formatting requested.

    • Academic work requested (papers, reports, essays).

    • Creating a completely new piece requested (blank file).

Please make sure your piece is constructed completely before a proofreading review is done.

  • Clarity Content QA will not be accepting academic work for review at this time (2025). We do not provide writing workshops or feedback on essay structure or topic.

  • Unfortunately, we do not provide services that construct any project.

  • That’s great news! We will correspond with you about preferred deadlines.

  • An invoice will be sent via email once services are complete. We ask that you please include an email address in your submission form. Thank you so much for your business!
